You may have noticed the new portrait for my header image. That was made by the awesome Bryan Ma. The banner-style header cuts out quite a bit, so I’m going to put the entire image here. If you’ve been playing games for a particularly long time, you might notice the portrait has been done in the style of Lucasarts’ classic The Dig.

Just in time for GDC, Erin Robinson has finally made Gravity Ghost public. Gravity Ghost is a game about a ghost girl who hurls herself through space and brings life to various small planets. You can check out some art and Erin’s writeup at the official site here. I’ve already written quite a bit of music for the game, and hopefully we’ll be able to share a bit of it soon. Exciting!

Someone’s making a Roguelike spaceship game and I get to make the music for it. This is like if someone asked Elvis to write a song about a peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich; I consume this kind of product all the time and thus am uniquely qualified to deliver music. So I’m working on the soundtrack for a game that I’m very excited about. I can’t tell you much about it, but it’s being developed by Erin Robinson, who also made Puzzle Bots. I will at least show you the one piece of artwork that she’s made public, and hopefully she won’t hurt me for that: Once we’ve officially announced the game I’ll probably post some sample music from the game as well.
